New, live Zoom classes! Get ready for your next vacation and learn the art of travel painting via my weekly 2 hour Thursday classes from April 20th -June 8th
These classes are going to be fun and interactive with feedback and constructive group critiques. Each class will begin with a demonstration showing how to draw and paint from a specific photo supplied by me.
When you sign up for the class, I'll email you a collection of high resolution jpegs and any corresponding diagrams for the class, a color wheel and a composition E-Booklet. If you are interested in a single class, sign up and email me at kristenpaints@gmail.com with the date you would like to attend.
Over the 8 week course, I will teach the following topics listed below. I've chosen each reference photos from my travels, specifically for the elements contained in each one and how I can create a great lesson from them.
April 20th.) Paint a lively seascape with a beach, a wave, sea rocks and sea cliffs.
April 27th.) Create a colorful Italian garden landscape with a garden pond and reflections, potted lemon trees, light and shadow.
May 4th.) An Italian village scene. Paint a charming, winding street scene from San Gimignano with Italian cypress trees and flowers, light and shadow.
May 11th.) Paint a captivating Hawaiian sunset. Learn to mix a variety of warm reds, yellows and pinks plus paint backlit sea rocks and a coconut palm tree,
May 18th.) Paint a garden landscape with cast shadows across a green lawn.
May 25th.) Learn how and when to add figures in the landscape. I'll demonstrate an easy way to sketch them into your composition. We will paint a scene from Rome.
June 1st.) How to draw and paint architecture including an easy to learn lesson on perspective using a photo from my trip to London.
June 8th.) Paint a drone view beach scene. Looking down on a beach with colorful umbrellas and people swimming. I'll show you how to paint different hues of warm and cool blues.
You'll learn a complete set of skills to give you the confidence to draw and paint anywhere you travel.
